About

danielle brabanderA bit of information about what I have been doing all this time:

1989-1991 – I moved to Montreal to study at Concordia University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of fine Arts, majoring in painting and minoring in sculpture.

1992-1994 – I wandered throughout Europe, generally heading spending as much time in galleries and cafes as humanly possible. I started painting again while living in London England and discovered I was a happier person when I was creating. I also became hopelessly addicted to caffeine.

1995-1999 – Having decided to return to Montreal, and wishing to return to my studies, I pursued a Bachelor of Arts at McGill University, majoring in philosophy. I submersed myself in the study of “isms”. Some of them made sense to me, others did not.

2004-2008 – My husband and I created two magnificent children and all other projects fell away for a spell…

2009 – present – Here I am, back on the Island of Montreal and once again finding myself driven to create, and to share the results of some of these experiences. As an incurable romantic, I do not seek to return to the past so much as to infuse the present with some sense of awe and enchantment and beauty that is so scarce in these modern cynical times.
